Our selection includes an ever-increasing variety of native plants and grasses. Class A CDL

 Job starts mid March 2017 and will run through July 2017, this could turn into full-time work for the right applicant.

Compensation based on mileage, deliveries + safety and performance bonuses
Gross pay between $650.00 and $1300.00/week
The runs are one to two nights out. Home every Saturday.
Driver will need to help unload the truck.

A. Perform any combination of the following duties concerned with nursery plant production and shipment as well as related horticultural activities under close supervision in nursery and greenhouse environments.


  1. Plant perennials, grasses and shrubs in containers.
  2. Set out newly potted plants in growing areas in neat and organized patterns.
  3. Move containerized plants to or between potting, growing and shipping areas using hands, handcarts, tractors and wagons.
  4. Sort and consolidate plants in plugs and containers.
  5. Group and cover plants for over-wintering.
  6. Move, space and prune plants.
  7. Water, irrigate or mist plants.
  8. Weed plants in containers.
  9. Sort and dump dead, inferior or surplus plants.

May also include:

  1. Conduct ground maintenance, weeding in landscapes and cleanup.
  2. Help in constructing irrigation systems and installation and maintenance of greenhouses.
  3. Lay and repair weed-mat.
  4. Assist in general maintenance activities.
  5. Perform other duties as needed.
  6. Physically capable of repeatedly lifting 25+ pounds.

B. Maintain professional conduct and performance according to the current WWNC Nursery Policy manual and support management in its goals.



  1. Assume responsibility for reading, understanding and supporting company policy including seeking or requesting help in translating or comprehending policy where necessary.
  2. Assume responsibility for personal professional development by seeking training where needed and by practicing self-evaluation in order to improve performance in all job functions.
  3. Assume responsibility for learning the names of the plants grown by WWNC including both botanical Latin and common names. variety names.
  4. Develop and practice good communication skills.
